Populations and Samples:  Is our class a good sample of the school?
Have the students come up with a survey question for the class.  Take a survey of the class.  We can use this information to make different graphs.  While we are going through the unit, we will set up a survey for the school.  When the data is complete for the school, we can decide if our class was a good sample for the population.
     Ideas for school survey:
                  1.  Set up a computer survey and ask all math classes to have students complete the survey.  Make sure the survey is short.
                2.  Put up the survey question and answers on a large piece of banner paper in the cafeteria.  Have students put post its under their answer choice.
