Introduction:
This is a unique unit which will allow students to work at their own pace and understanding. At the end of this unit, students should be able to find, use, and apply two and three-dimensional formulas of basic geometry shapes. Learners will have to opportunity to practice and ask questions before applying their learned knowledge to assessments and projects. Through the real-life project, students should understand the importance and real life applications of geometric formulas.

Future Courses:
Online courses and blended learning provide so many opportunities for learners. The unit I have created is in 7th grade math. The entire course could be taught purely online. In fact, there are several online math curriculums available. Another class that I currently teach is a blended learning 8th grade algebra class. The format has helped me build important relationships with students and their guardians. Students and parents enjoy the fact that lessons and tutorials are available at all times. All math classes at the middle school level are ideal to incorporate the blended learning model. Complete online math classes are also an option, but students at the middle school age usually require guidance. A detailed plan would need to be available for students to be successful. The options for online learning are endless and will provide opportunities for students, staff, and guardians to have access to the most suitable learning environment for their needs.
