Influencing Change

"Master influencers know that it takes only a few behaviors to create big changes in the results they care about" (Grenny, Patterson, Maxfield, McMillan & Switzer, 2013).  Finding those behaviors and influencing change takes a well developed plan.  The book Influencer gives a step by step guide to developing such a plan.   Using these resources, I have developed a plan to implement blended learning in my school.
Goal:  As a teacher and instructional coach, I plan to use my implementation plan to pilot and then initiate blended learning in 10 math classrooms by the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

Vital Behaviors:
  • Teachers will create and present blended learning lessons in their classroom.
  • Teachers will work cooperatively on a weekly basis to develop a shared Google drive to store and access lesson plans, websites and lesson ideas utilizing blended learning.
  • Teachers will meet to embed blended learning lessons into the curriculum.

Measurements:
  • Teachers will attend assigned technology trainings.
  • Instructional coach will check weekly lesson plans to insure technology is implemented
  • Technology department and instructional coaches will meet with teachers weekly to discuss ideas and/or issues and document additional help, resources, or trainings needed and share with administration.

Influencers:
  • Administration
  • Lead Teachers
  • Instructional Coaches
  • Technology Department
