How?

Once I have introduced the idea, I believe most teachers will support the concept of professional learning over professional development.  Teachers will be more apt to embrace change if they have time, support, a model to follow, and know that the work they are doing is important to their specific classroom.  It is necessary to find specific teacher needs, have discussions with those teachers and provide training to help them be successful.  Once those needs have been identified and teachers have been equipped with the skills necessary, it is critical to provide support to those teachers in the classroom while they implement their plan.  Teachers should be comfortable with the equipment, materials, and lessons they are using in their classrooms.  ​
